Recently the Australian Government brought in new Legislation which has the Opposition Labour Party and the Union movement screaming that we will be far worse off than we were until recently and left with very little insecurity. There have been changes to the unfair dismal laws to name but one change, as far as I am concerned I still think we are still much better off than many other countries. My question to you guys and people from other countries, but especially to the guys who work in th...

For some time I, and many others have been subject to the rantings of the very lonny extreme of the christian right. I find that most of these are people who have very little care for the message of Jesus Christ, the man we christians take our name from. Instead they try to justify their rather absurd ideas with quotes from the bible. Personally I find this hard to reconcile, as I have always found that the bible is a book which to me should read a guide for life, whether you want to...

This week in the UK Britain's advertising regulator says it had no choice but to block a TV advertisement in the UK promoting tourism in Australia. Broadcasting Advertising Clearance Centre managing editor Paul Denham says swear words like "bloody" are specifically banned and they can offend by appearing in the middle of programs without such material. Lately I have had cause to ask this question, does money really matter any more should we move on, and when pondering this question there are reasons to conclude both yes and no. I am interested to see what people think, more so than just putting forward my own observations. I find that more and more we are discussing money less and less.

Last Friday I spent the day interviewing a new assistant, during one the interviews one of the applicants made an interesting comment, not particullarily earth shattering, but at the same time made me open my eyes. We were discussing why he was interested i the industry he was interested in joining . He replyed with the following, "Since I was a young boy I have been fasinated with Money and its mechanics, and the fact that the only reason it still has value is we believe this to be so". It...

Soldier T'was the night before Christmas, he lived all alone, in a one bedroom house, made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney, with presents to give, and to see just who, in this home, did live. I looked all about, a strange sight I did see, no tinsel, no presents, not even a tree. no stocking by mantle, just boots filled with sand, on the wall hung pictures, of far distant lands. with medals and badges, awards of all kinds,...

Before I can start relating my sometimes amusing train journies I really have to reval that Commuting is not just catching a train and getting somewhere, far from it it is a maze of unwritten rules, so in order to help all those Train Virgins, I have compiled a list of do's and don'ts. The Platform, 1) Never Take your place on the platform before other trains have past, this is a big no no, regular travellers have their spot on the platform, and newbies beware, stand back and learn, or you...
